System: d20 Modern This file offers all the information you need to add the dreaded SS to your 1948 games. The SS is composed of a military force, a police force and several highly specialized paramilitary units. On the battlefield, the military branch of the SS (the Waffen) is an elite, extremely cohesive army with state-of-the-art equipment. These Nazi storm troopers are highly trained, well-equipped and fanatically dedicated. The mere sight of the Nazi SS soldier in his black uniform adorned with skulls, swastikas, and sig runes is enough to strike fear into the bravest hearts. In the shadows of the home front, the other main branch of the SS (the Gestapo) spreads terror in its own way. The Gestapo agents are ruthless and relentless in their pursuit of those who threaten the Nazi party. They use disinformation and tactics of entrapment to find anyone who disagrees with the Nazi ideology. Torture and executions are common tools for these government-backed terrorists as they police the thoughts of everyone within their reach. There are also several specialized units of the SS, many infused with biomedical enhancements and elite training including the Wolf Brigade (night fighters), cold weather specialists and scholars of black magic. This file documents the history, organization, methods, and membership of the various branches of the SS in 1948. It includes two prestige classes, a template, elite equipment and several pregenerated NPCs, allowing game masters to bring a new level of terror to their 1948 adventures. This file features:
