Omen Slayer is an epic sword and sorcery adventure setting of cataclysmic prophecies and cosmic disaster. In this world churning with conflict, the utopian Republic of Cairamar and its allies stand against a constant onslaught of barbarism, like beacons of hope in a maelstrom of evil. The defenders of the Republic, with their ultra-heavy armor and advanced weapons, are the mightiest warriors on the battlefield. They stand like sentinels against the hoards of countless trolls, giants and goblins that swarm from the vast wilderness known as the Outlands. Between the wealthy nations of Cairamar and the uncharted wilderness of the Outlands lie the Kingdoms of Men. While the Republics of Cairamar have a long tradition of enlightenment, discovery, and democracy, the Kingdoms of Men are mired in a tradition of feudalism, superstition and warfare that stifles their development and keeps them in a perpetual dark age, hundreds of years behind the advanced nations of Cairamar. But there is more... A prophecy of doom is written in the stars of an ancient, alien world. The augury foretells a Day of Reckoning for the malevolent inhabitants of that world, the godlike Althoheim. They shall meet their death at the hands of the men of Cairamar. And so the Althoheim have sent their dark spawn across the voids of time and space to destroy mankind. But the Norjeim, the ancestral enemies of the Althoheim, can read the prophetic alien stars as well. When they learned of the Althoheim's plot against mankind, they sent their own agents to stop the hell-spawn minions and preserve the stars of fate. It is against this backdrop of dramatic extremes, epic conflict, celestial prophecies and fate-bending aliens that our stories unfold, exploring themes of enlightenment, reason and philosophy in the face of tyranny, chaos and madness.
